Ayur ~ Life
Veda ~ Science, knowledge of
Ayurveda is the science of life and longevity, as chronicled in the Sanskrit Atharva Veda, which contains Indian wisdom collected from 1500 BCE to 400 AD.
Ayurvedic philosophy connects all the elements of the universe—from the inanimate to life itself—as a unique balance within each of us. These elements are categorized as Air, Space, Fire, Water, and Earth.
From these five elements there are three different biological doshas that are responsible for all of our physical, mental, and spiritual processes:
Our health and wellbeing become compromised when these elements are out of balance. It is through our mindfulness about their effects that we can bring ease back to our mind and body.
Ayurveda emphasizes preventative medicine by natural means that align with the world we live in. We embark on this journey through starting with diet, lifestyle, and sometimes herbs, therapies and specific detoxes. Ayurvedic practitioners are here to guide you on your own unique path to wellbeing.
Ayur= life, in sanskrit | Prema= love in sanskrit.
Ayurprema means the love and compassion for life, for ALL beings and the love for Ayurveda.
Ayurprema, LLC offers traditional Ayurvedic consultations and therapies to guide you on your journey to health and wellness. There's no imbalance of the mind, body or spirit that Ayurveda does not address.
“Love is at the heart of the world, just as it is at the heart of your life. Your relationships with your lover, your family, your friends, and the world around you define the quality of your emotional wholeness and reflect your relationship with yourself.”

Lisa Rae Jacoby is an enthusiastic Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner & Health Counselor who works with people to maintain and improve health. She knows that you must uncover the root of any problem to relieve suffering and by avoiding the causative factors of dis-ease, you can eliminate a large majority of illnesses. This is why she believes so much in educating her clients on how to create balance in every aspect of life and the reasoning behind it. Ayurveda states that physical imbalances can cause mental disturbances and mental imbalances are therefore reflected at the physical level; it is here where Lisa discovered the significance of the relationship of mind-body health, which Ayurveda clearly explains.
Lisa Rae’s motivation behind entering into the oldest system of medicine known as Ayurveda, is to bring the awareness, not only to herself and her family but into a practice. The best possible outcome she claims:
“-is by merging the best of both worlds. Where East meets West and where ancient time-tested philosophies & plant medicine meets today’s massively expansive technologically advanced system of medicine: Integration of ALL medicine because there should be no boundaries when it comes to the ability to make a difference in even one person’s life.”
She began her journey in medicine in a small mountain town in Colorado, where she was born. Here, she was greatly influenced by an ophthalmologist who trained her in the operating room and is currently a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant from the Academy of Ophthalmology since 2006. In 2014 she broadened her ophthalmic surgical assisting experience by working for a mobile eye surgery company, where she travelled throughout the U.S. and assisted many surgeons in cataract, glaucoma, retina and lid surgeries. In 2016 she was led to California, which changed everything! She started working at yet another eye doctor’s office and quickly realized how much opportunity was here, at her fingertips in Los Angeles.
While addressing her own imbalances, Lisa attended therapies including a 10-day silent meditation, known as Vipassana. Silent meditation now became the biggest voice of reason… Afterwards, determined to go back to school and continue as health care provider, she came across Ayurveda. One week later, she had an interview with an amazing Ayurvedic Practitioner named Naomi @ Southern California University of Health Sciences. Accepted and enrolled @ SCUHS, she excitingly embarked on a life-changing journey in Eastern medicine and philosophy!
About 6 months into the program, she had convinced her father that there was hope for his chronic lung illness that Western Medicine hadn’t anymore answers for. He was being treated by a doctor at National Jewish Hospital, ranked #1 in pulmonary lung disease and they had limited treatment plans for her father; steroids, antibiotics and good luck! Truly the biggest task at hand was getting her father to travel from the brisk and silent woods up in the high Rocky Mountain to this noisy, crowded and fiery Los Angeles, a feat that was well cherished. He trusted his daughter, although it took a lot of convincing, that maybe there was something to this alternative health practice. After his initial consultation he began his journey and felt the best he had in years! He was told to avoid certain foods, ones that he had eaten every day and wasn’t too happy and favor other foods. He was also prescribed custom herbal formulas for his condition. About 1 month later he reported ~ 20% improvement, which was very significant, as he had only been on a slow decline prior to his visit. He now trusted the Ayurvedic approach and it quickly became second nature. It wasn’t long before the rest of Lisa’s family joined the bandwagon and started seeking food that would benefit their constitutions.
“-I am very confident that becoming a Traditional Ayurvedic Practitioner is my "dharma" or my life path. I saw so clearly through a pinhole of what Ayurveda was all about and now my entire field of vision is embodied by this ‘Science of Life’ and how it plays a role in every aspect of life. It is balance that we need and seek but how we learn how to get there, is key. Ayurveda health and wellness leaves nothing out. No matter the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual pain that one may be suffering, Ayurveda provides solution! I will provide the knowledge, compassion, dedication and willingness to work with you- meet you where you are at in your journey - and it is here, where we begin”

It was a magical experience
I have been feeling myself so full of energy, happiness for several days in a row. I was very exhausted, fatigue accumulated, an impenetrable feeling of anxiety, I had a lot of stress over the last year and more than 1.5 years have passed since my last panchakarma. I felt that I really need to recover. Miraculously, I met Lisa. She is an extraordinary girl of amazing depth and beauty, delicately feeling and a master of Ayurveda.
From the first moment I just realized that I wanted to trust myself to her.
For several hours of treatment, I felt like I was in paradise. At the moment of Shirodara, it seemed to me that my old programs were being erased layer by layer.
Her office is very cozy with a comfortable mini sauna.
With the sounds of murmuring water, birds singing, I enjoyed the pleasant smells of herbs, oils and a magical massage. Lisa made a custom herbal blend for me.
I did not expect that I would fall into the hands of such a sorceress who would wrap me up with such care, love, warmth and sincerity.
I just wanted to take a package of massages, but I realized that I had a chance to get a special course of treatment and I am very happy with this opportunity
I'm very thankful to the universe for meeting Lisa

I've never felt more relaxed after my session Lisa. Being 6months pregnant she tailored and customized the entire treatment based on how far along in my pregnancy I am and I was and how I was feeling. She really took the time to ask all the right questions and address my concerns. To start, she gave me the best prenatal massage I've ever had and focused on all the right areas while keeping my pregnancy safety in mind throughout. Afterward I had a Shirodhara treatment which was a great transition from relaxing my body to relaxing my mind. I felt like this for a few days after my session and my mind felt clear and refreshed again. Oh and did I mention how my skin and hair were glowing with the perfect dewy look? I will definitely be scheduling regular sessions with Lisa to maintain my overall wellness.

In one sentence, Lisa is incredibly intelligent, caring, and intuitive practitioner. After less than two weeks from starting my protocol I started to feel more energy, my clothes felt looser, and I was more at home in my body. There are my three top reasons for visiting Lisa • She REALLY wants the best for you. I’ve been reading clinical studies that the amount of kindness and care that a practitioner provides you is as important as the practical advice. Lisa goes above and beyond this. When she says that you can text and email her with any questions – she REALLY, REALLY means it. She’s more responsive to me than most of my friends are, and so clearly wants the best for me. • Her advice is spot-on. I started to feel results within two weeks of starting my protocol. Her protocol is so thoughtful and considerate. Its obvious that she has spent a great deal of time thinking about what you need, and what will work within your schedule. I told her that I wanted to be aggressive about my health during the pandemic and she gave me such a detailed list of things that I could do from dry-brushing, to herbs, to teas that I could make. • She’s incredibly knowledgeable and open. From the start, I felt like I could tell her anything and get her advice to things as diverse as my aging eyes to how Ayurveda could impact my sense of well-bring and mental health. She is incredible holistic, knowledgeable, and curious. Finally, I want to mention that I’m a pretty picky person. In fact, I met Lisa after I left my first Ayurvedic practitioner. My family is filled with doctors so I have a lot experience in this field and I fully recommend Lisa.

I thought that my feet and maybe legs would be amputated because I have really bad diabetes. Feet and toes were completely numb. Tops of my feet hurt really bad. It’s 90% gone and I anticipate it being 100% gone very soon. Trauma before was a roll over motor vehicle accident. Diagnosed right after that with type 2 diabetes. It took a few months to start going numb and hurting. I have been suffering with it from December 2018
I had no feeling in my feet (I totally lost sensation in both of my feet) for about a year and a half. I was in a car accident and then had type two diabetes..
I told my endocrinologist about my symptoms and he said they would have to amputate if symptoms worsened, & I can now feel my freaking toes, I can feel my feet!!
I’ve had massages, seen doctors all of the above.. in the last year and a half but nothing could make me have sensation back in my feet.
My feet were completely numb and now they’re not I cannot believe it, I cannot believe it.. I don’t know what she did but I can’t believe it because now I can feel my feet! I was feeling lost, to the point of giving up when they told me they’d amputate my feet, without any other options until I found Lisa.
I can’t believe Lisa did this, no other doctor or other modality could help me and I had completely lost hope.
A few days ago I thought I’d lose my feet and legs.
Lisa is like an Angel. She saved my life. Literally, saved not only my feet and Legs but my life! I am continuing treatment with her and she’s never let me down. She meets me where I’m at and I feel so confident and comfortable in her space.
Thank you Lisa and if anyone is losing hope or in pain or not being heard by your doctor, contact her immediately bc she very knowledgeable and compassionate; in both eastern and western medicine.
If it is not in her scope of practice then she will guide you to someone who can. She doesn't just drop you, like the rest of my health practitioners.
Sincerely, C

I received a Shirodara treatment for the first time. Lisa was wonderful and so attentive. It is her energy that made feel calm and relaxed. She has a beautiful outside tent and felt the nice ocean breeze as I received the treatment. She also prepared a nice ginger tea for me which I enjoyed very much.
Shirodara was wonderful and she has so much knowledge. I would love to return for more treatments in the future!

I have never felt so pampered in my life as I did my last "Deluxe" full body oil detox and steam. I don't have all the language for the treatment all I know is I felt like I was in a different world as Lisa rubbed special oil all over my body and dropped it on my forehead. I really enjoyed the tent studio set up, it had everything necessary including a steam bath.
Lisa has been assisting me with my health concern and healing journey for the last 6 months. She is very knowledgeable and the herbs she prescribed work well. She's full of information and I just trust and take them as part of my routine which has been working well. I'm really happy to include Ayurvedic healing on top of or instead of western medicine!

I was treated for pain in my elbow due to paddling my surfboard repetitively. The day before my oil flow treatment, I was in pain. The day after, even while surfing again, my arm was strong and pain free.
The initial experience led me to book whole body treatments. Lisa is a complete empath. The communication on my comfort was open, verbalised and intuitive e,g. my temperature, positions, sore spots, etc. She senses what is needed and fulfills those needs with sensational technique; Warm herbal elixirs with a heated massage table and a third eye oil flow that evoques a transcendent healing state of mind and body. I have gone in with debilitating muscle pain in my hip and felt significantly better the following day. I went from 10 steps a minute at a pain scale of 8/10, to normal gait, pain scale of 2/10. The blissed out feeling I had after finishing in the steam tent inspired me to book my next appointment
